About Me

I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student at Clemson University. I have been married for 17 years. I have two children.

Opps...forgot to blog!

I realized in class this morning when Dr. Barnett was talking about blogging, I forgot to post a blog.  I guess better late then never.

I have  enjoyed writing the instructions.  I didn't realize really how much goes into the process.  It is one of those things that is taken for granted.  You buy something, open the box, glance through the instructions, put it together and go.

Through the process of writing my instructions, I feel as though the task I am writing about has grown into more than I first imagined.  However, I am pleased with the outcome so far.  Just a little tweaking before turning in the final copy.

I would be interested in hearing what everyone's thoughts are on the outcome of their instructions.

I'm glad you have enjoyed writing your instructions; they definitely are useful in our lives. Sometimes we don't use those instructions when we open those boxes, but it's nice to know they are there in case we get lost or confused (as we usually do).

My instructions are coming along well and I'm happy with the final product. It's been really helpful to have others review my work, though, because I've always had a difficult time proofing my own papers. What are you writing your instructions on? Did you include lots of pictures or is it mostly words?

I never thought of the work it takes to write these instructions either. I enjoyed reading your instructions in class and saw some major improvement over the last few classes. I'm sure the final product came out great and thanks for your help with mine.

I always have my wife proof my papers, but having others review it helped as well. Writing papers is not one of my strengths, so the extra input is much needed.

My topic was "How to bring life to your dull flower beds". I enjoy working in the yard. To me it is rewarding and a stress reliever. I did include some pictures of various tools and some comparison pictures. Hopefully they will add clarity to my instructions.
